Interlaminar Shear, Bending, and Water Retention Behavior of Nano-SiO2 Filler-Incorporated Dharbai/Glass Fiber-Based Hybrid Composites under Cryogenic Environment

چکیده

In current history, adding nanoscale and micron-sized filler materials to composite for fabrication has been a popular approach improving the composite’s mechanical characteristics. Due their lower friction coefficient, excellent strength modulus, low moisture uptake, filler-based hybrid are replacing metallic materials. Glass/Dharbai composites with nano-SiO2 fillers have created in this study. After manufacture, were treated liquid nitrogen at 177 K various durations. Every sample material was cut according ASTM standards investigate features such as ILSS, impact test, flexural strength. The broken specimen studied using scanning electron microscope. Water retention studies conducted under two distinct solutions: tab or regular water seawater. strength, all greater 4 wt.% of nanofiller-rich than ordinary composites. Compared 30 minutes, 15-minute cryo-treated specimens provide highest On other hand, automobile, aviation, shipbuilding sectors would benefit from nanofiller-based composite.
